Ever wondered why most of us insist on living in the past?
Why do we just not let things slide?
Why do we keep on replaying the things over and over again?
Most of us already know the answer…
We like to create and maintain problems because they provide us with a sense of identity.
Perhaps this sheds some light on why we often hold onto our pain beyond our capability. We are in a habit of replaying the mistakes we made in the past over and over again in our heads, permitting feelings of regret to shape our actions in the present.
We like fretting about the future as if this act of fixation is going to improve things.
Holding stress and fear in our minds, we expose ourselves to serious health issues and accept that state of depression or tension as the norm.
In leading your life the way you want to, you will come across a number of people who are just not going to understand you. Do not permit their beliefs and opinions direct your choices. Living the life you want means you are no longer trying to hide your face in the sand. It means no running away from yourself, your dreams, your hopes, your frustrations, and your fear of the unknown.
How you see yourself is how you will see the world around you! If you constantly degrade yourself, you will never be able to understand the meaning of true joy.
The universal laws of success that are considered as a major breakthrough in quantum physics revolve around the idea that the quality of our thoughts defines our future. These are energy frequencies that attract happiness and abundance. The more positive energy you vibe out, the more abundance you’ll attract in life.
For example, when you have a heated debate with your spouse how do you think your day at work would be or when you see a major accident on your way to work?
One unfortunate or unlucky event may spoil your entire day at work. You must have faced such incidents several times in your lives. Haven’t you?
This is just a glimpse of how our thoughts, beliefs, mood swings and perceptions affect our life. If you view failure as a brand new opportunity to prove yourself, you will never feel discouraged and would always find a way out of every situation.
We get what we expect in life, so if we continue to feel we are unworthy then we will continue to put roadblocks in our own way and would never be able to live the life of our dreams.
Stop debasing yourself and take responsibility for your life.
If you keep on twisting this situation into a pissing match, you are going to stay where you are right now and remain trapped here forever.
Most certainly, if you choose to spend your vacations on an island that gets hit by an earthquake, this is something you have no control over. Nevertheless, the decisions you are going to make once the island gets hit will mean the difference between life and death.
Reflect back on your life and look at the defining moments.
Forgive yourself for the mistakes you made in the past. Remember, self forgiveness allows you to live in the present and enjoy it to the max whilst enabling you to move into the future with a renewed sense of purpose.
