Azra Maqsood

Senior Consultant

Azra’s 20 years of experience includes almost 15 years of senior leadership position, looking after strategy and governance. Her passion for youth and women engagement is evident from her conscious choice to follow a career in education and health, and the development sector, rather than the corporate sector.

Entrusted with the portfolio of Chief Operating Officer at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) since November 2015, Azra has been working in the health sector enthusiastically. Since December 2014, as Managing Partner, she has been running Concentric, a boutique consulting company working within the spaces of women entrepreneurs and career women. Under the banner of ‘Minding Her Business’, a project of Concentric, she has been engaged with the World Bank funded ‘WomenX’ project, that supports women entrepreneurs in taking their businesses to the next level. She was also appointed as Executive Director/CEO, Injaz Pakistan,an incubatee and initiative of the Aman Foundation. Appointed Executive Director/CEO in January 2012.

For almost 14 years, she led the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST), Karachi, as Deputy Director. At the senior most position, she handled the complete strategy and operations of the Institute. She had also been instrumental in getting together the ILO funded Employers Federation of Pakistan’s Women Employment Concern in Pakistan (WEC-Pk) Project in 2006; the UNDP funded Gender Based Governance Systems Trainings and Capacity Building Program (2008 – 2012) and the GoS funded SMEDA’s Women Entrepreneurship Capacity Building Program (2009).

As an educationist, she has been involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching and research in the areas of managerial communication, retail management, entrepreneurship, change management, and organization development.

Anas Ahmed

Senior Consultant HR & OD

Anas has over 13 years of corporate HR experience with Multi Nationals in all facets of HR (Recruitment, Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management, Talent Management and Learning Management Systems).

Anas has most recently been associated with Shell Pakistan, leading Supply Chain HR for Middle East and South Asia along with an additional portfolio of Recruitment for the Country. He is now leading HR for Shell’s Retail business in Pakistan and is also the D&I Lead for the East Region (8 countries). He was previously leading Organizational Development for one of the largest telecom in Pakistan, Ufone GSM (a subsidiary Telco of Etisalat) and was associated with Telenor Pakistan prior to that.

Anas has a Masters Degree from Bahria University, Pakistan and is a Chartered MCIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development UK), Certified Results Coach accredited by International Coaching Federation Australia. In addition, he is also a Licensed Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner accredited by Society of NLP.

Meena V. Mohammed

Senior executive with over three decades of international experience and a track record of establishing and managing programs in human resources, education, training and coaching in environments of South Asia, Afghanistan and North America. A strategist and a clear thinker with a reputation for rapidly analyzing situations, identifying opportunities, proposing solutions and working with multiple age groups to develop innovative and targeted responses.

In the span of three decades, she has worked from grass roots level to top management. Has more than ten years of experience in Human Resource Management with the Aga Khan University Hospital. She has successfully established various projects from scratch, instituted the program office for World Learning Inc. USA for their client M/S Educational Testing Service (ETS), of Princeton New Jersey. Meena has set up test centers throughout Pakistan, Recruiting and Training staff, has established contacts with government agencies, public and private sector enterprise and overseen staff and centers in Bangladesh, establishing new centers in Dhaka. As part of the Business Development for ETS, she has worked with various government and private sectors in UAE, Africa and South Asia and negotiated various programs and projects for ETS. She has monitored the Global Marketing Campaign for Egypt and India while extensively traveling to Europe, North America, Africa and South Asia.
