There are many personalities from which you can grasp many qualities in your lifetime; your parents, your teachers, your friends, your seniors.
I have learnt from my boss: Sohail Zindani. Below are the 7 priceless lessons he has taught me, by implementing them in the office on a daily basis.
Lesson # 1: Humbleness
Working with a dynamic team, and having a business matrix on sales, can have its own challenges and threats. One thing I have always seen is humble leadership. Even the people who have left the company have a very high regard for his leadership.
Lesson #2: Persistence
We are in a business of talent management solutions and corporate trainings where rejections are very common in the work place but relentlessly persistence attitude goes a long way.
As Alan Weiss said: The person who is successful in the speaking business today, it is because he didn’t quit yesterday.
Lesson #3: Ethics
I have seen it with my own eyes that work of millions has been rejected by our firm – only because it was not according to our ethics, and we never approached those clients again.
Lesson #4: Creativity
If you want to succeed in business, creativity is the name of the game.
As Ken Blanchard said: You need to build a habit of multiple wow moments in a day to thrive in the market of 21st Century.
Lesson #5: Change Management
I guess, after reading this article, all of those who know Sohail Zindani will say a loud “YES”” with me that because of him we are Masters of Change Management. We now agree with it, appreciate it, and anticipate it.
Lesson #6: Strength Based Winning
Give the employee the project they want the most; where they think their strength lies. That, is the golden rule by Sohail. Hence, our company has gotten more winners, and I don’t remember any whiners.
Lesson #7: Robust Trust
He trusts his employees blindly, that is a quality, I think is the rarest in CEO’s of the 21st Century. He invests his time in every employee, coaches them, and uides them in order to peak their potential for maximum results. He is, without a doubt, master of work life harmony and situational leadership.
Example of his exemplary trust on his employees is the testimonial of him for me which is as follows:
“It’s been almost a decade for me, working in the corporate training arena. I’ve met many young passionate people, wanting to be trainers. But it’s rare to find someone who is a perfect blend of passion, potential and purpose. The moment I found Dr. Arif, I made an instant decision to make him my colleague at Learning Minds Group. His never tiring approach towards learning and positively ambitious stance towards life makes him a treat colleague and a blessing as a trainer. If I can crown, he is my choice for the best emerging trainer in Pakistan!”
